Patient Answer: What’s the point? If we can not afford a private care we have to come to see a GP anyway. This GP doesn’t seem to like to take new patients.
I’m sorry you feel this is the case. The practice list is open to anyone who lives in our practice area and is residing in the UK.
Patient Answer: Could we have one of the higher chairs next to the podiatry department please as my elderly mohter has difficult with walking, as well as getting up and down from the lower chairs, thank you. I’m sure this would benefit lots of patients.
The Brookfields waiting room is a shared area between all the services that use the Brookfields building and so the practice does not provide the furniture for this space. However, we will forward your request to the building managers for consideration.
Patient Answer: Waiting nearly an hour for an appointment in a freezing cold waiting room.
I’m sorry you had to wait for so long. The GPs do try to keep to time and we have added in catch up time within their clinics to try and keep them running to time. Patients can also help us by only bringing one issue and one person to a 10 minute appointment. If you have a list of items please either ask for a longer appointment or tell the GP when you first enter the consulting room and you can both then prioritise the most important issues. We are aware the Brookfields waiting room can be cold in winter and hot in summer, unfortunately as it is in the middle of the building it is hard to ventilate. The heating is centrally controlled (but not by us) and oddly there are no radiators in the waiting room. We have raised this with the building managers.
Patient Answer: Ability to book an appointmnet online at the weekend. Availability of appointments.
You can already book appointments online, please see our “internet access to us” page which explains how you can get an account. We are aware appointment availability can be a problem – we currently have 25% of all GP sessions available to book ahead of time, the rest are available on the day. Appointments are on an automatic timed release – so 28 days before the date of the session the prebookables will opened. On the day appointments are opened shortly before we open at 08:00. All our GP appointments once opened are available to book online for those with accounts.
Patient Answer: I have been a patient for 25 years. Staff and doctors are helpful and caring. I never feel rushed by doctors and they try to solve health issues by thorough investigation.
Thank you for your kind words
Patient Answer: Reception staff friendly and helpful. Able to get an appointment in reasonable time. Nurses & doctor I have seen considerate and listen to you. NB; only recently joined practice so I haven’t required services much so far.
Welcome to the practice! I’m glad you have had positive experiences from our team.

I’m very glad to hear we are helping you manage your health, thank you for saying so
Patient Answer: Waiting times too long, everyone runs behind. I end up waiting 30 mins at times.

Patient Answer: /likely. The main reason for my statemetn is other Dr’s surgeires allow you to book online, also book appointments in advance not have to ring up on the day at 8am. Also the cost of the phone call is alot.

Our telephone contract recently came to an end and we are seeking a new supplier. We will not be retaining the 0844 telephone number. I hope to have a new system in place over the summer.
